Think about exactly where your pet will sleep for the night. Will he be allowed to sleep in a family member’s bed, on the sofa, on the rug in the den? Pets that roam during the night can disrupt the sleep of the entire family, so teach your pet where he should sleep. Which areas of the house will be considered his territory during waking hours? Will he be allowed in the formal living room? Will Grandma’s handmade quilt in the master bedroom be off-limits?
