Have the pet restrained by a leash in case he becomes too excited and tries to escape his spa treatment. Cats are great escape artists when presented for a bath, so be on guard. Cats also have a noted aversion to water and they do not like to be splashed. It’s better to wet them by pouring water over them from a pitcher as opposed to using a hose or sprayer. Pouring water is also quieter. The sound of a high pressure hose is disconcerting for cats.
